Rosellas really are a stunning group of birds. I believe that they are often very undervalued in Australian aviculture, especially when we are talking about the wild type birds and even mores so, the keeping of pure subspecies. Take a look at this gorgeous Blue-cheeked Rosella for example. I photographed this bird over 10 years ago and cannot recall seeing another like it since.

Agree Simon. A fantastic group of parakeet. The original wild types get overlooked here also. As for subspecies...!! ?? This year I hope to start adding avaries for all the Rosella group and filling them over the next few years. Some will be easier to find than others.
