Wild Hyacinths Facing Biggest Threat in Decades Due to Unprecedented Fires


The Brazilian Pantanal is currently experiencing its worst recorded fire season, with thousands of fires currently burning in the region. This is a nightmare scenario for the countless animal species that call this part of Brazil home, including the Hyacinth Macaw, with large parts of its roosting, feeding and breeding habitat already having been burnt out in recent weeks and days.
